Electrical steel, also called laminated steel, silicon electrical steel, silicon steel or transformer steel. As the most-commonly used materials among all soft magnetic materials, electrical steel is used to produce certain magnetic cores, such as the stator and rotor in transformers and motors.
Electrical steel is classified into two types: Non-oriented (NO) electrical steel and Grain-oriented (GO) electrical steel. NO steel is widely used in motors and generators, in which the magnetization direction is rotated in the sheet plane. GO is mainly used as a core material of transformers, in which the magnetization direction is unidirectional.
Non-Oriented Electrical Steel is manufactured as to render magnetic properties almost uniform in any direction of the coil. Used mainly for medium and large rotating machines, and small transformers.
●Exhibits almost uniform and excellent magnetic properties in all directions of a steel sheet.
●Typical applications: motors, generators, audio transformers, reactors, magnet switches, ballasts, magnetic fields, and electromagnets for accelerators

Notes: a. Test according to GB/T3655-2008. b. The test specimen is half in both vertical and horizontal directions. c. The magnetic performance test of stress-relieving annealing high-efficiency non-oriented electrical steel AR series products is only applicable to the state of the sample after 2 hours of stress-relieving annealing at 750℃. e. B50 represents the magnetic induction intensity corresponding to the magnetic field intensity of 5000A/m. |
